Travel Service in Westmann Island

The ferry, Herjólfur, equipped to take on cars, sails daily from a port on   the south   coast. If not driving yourself, buses leave the bus deport in  Reykjavík at appropriate times. Flights, several a day, take 20 minutes from Reykjavík. It is also possible  to take a short 5 minute chartered flight from a small airport on the south coast at Bakki. Restaurants and bars have services in wide price range anuwhere from   fast food to fully serviced meals of the finest quality. To see the island   the visitor has a choice among guided bus tours, rental cars or taxies. Accommodations are quite varied: campground, youth hostel, guest   homes and hotels with all the modern comforts. Stores, banking, and other services are all available in Vestmannaeyjar, including art and craft galleries where hand made souvenirs and gifts that reflect the island are avaiable.
